Hello and welcome to the Hoosier Squeeze website!
Hoosier Squeeze was founded in the year 2000 when accordionists residing in the Bloomington, Indiana area gathered together to share their common interest in all things related to the Free-Reed family of instruments: piano-accordion, concertina, button-boxes, and more!
Various members of the group of friends meet to play and share music. We find inspiration through learning about each others diverse interests, talents, and experiences as accordionists.
Please enjoy our pages, which are devoted to the renaissance of the accordion in Indiana!
Hoosier Squeeze would also like to express our deepest sympathy to the displaced musicians and instrument craftsmen, from our southern states since the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. Accordionists worldwide have been greatly enriched by the Zydeco and Cajun musical traditions of Louisiana and the delta blues of Mississippi.
www.nomhrf.org/" will lead visitors to sanctioned organizations who are working to provide hurricane relief funding for New Orleans Musicians.
